Callao Salvaje
For those seeking total peace, we suggest Callao Salvaje. One of the quietest spots on Tenerife's south coast, it's a small town with a modest black-sand cove, a handful of restaurants, and a strong retiree community of Belgians, Germans, and Brits. There's no nightlife and little to do here — ideal if you genuinely want to disconnect, but it can feel too quiet for anyone who needs more happening nearby.
Day to day, Callao Salvaje covers the basics: a couple of small supermarkets, a pharmacy, a bakery, and a strip of restaurants along the main road. For bigger shops you'll drive 10 minutes to Costa Adeje. The pebble-and-sand cove, Playa de Ajabo, is rarely crowded.
Getting around: a car helps a lot here. Buses connect to Playa de las Américas and Los Gigantes, but services are infrequent in the evenings. Tenerife South airport is about 25 minutes away.
For remote workers: the quiet is the whole point — great for focus, with reliable fibre internet in most apartment complexes. Just know that cafés with laptop culture don't really exist here; you'll be working from home.
